Un élève de 18 ans a tué au moins deux personnes et en a gravement blessé une autre lors d'une attaque au couteau dans une école secondaire au nord-est de la Slovaquie, a annoncé jeudi 16 janvier l'agence de presse TASR.
«L'élève de 18 ans soupçonné d'avoir commis un crime grave a été arrêté peu après l'incident», a déclaré la police slovaque sur Facebook.
Le ministre slovaque de l’Intérieur, Matus Sutaj Estok, a condamné sur le même réseau social «l’attaque d’un élève qui a poignardé une enseignante et ses camarades de lycée».
Le drame a eu lieu dans la ville de Spisska Stara Ves, près de la frontière avec la Pologne, à environ 280 km au nord-est de la capitale, Bratislava. Matus Sutaj Estok a également exprimé ses «sincères condoléances aux familles des victimes», ajoutant qu’il se rendait immédiatement sur les lieux.
En 2020, un enseignant avait été tué lors d’une attaque à l’arme blanche dans une école élémentaire du centre de la Slovaquie, première attaque violente de ce type dans une école du pays.
